🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In October 1953, an air base in Maine recorded a strange phenomenon: 25 unidentified objects appeared on the radar screen for over two hours. Military observers saw them moving in irregular groups at speeds between 30 and 100 mph. An F-89 fighter was sent to intercept them, but failed to see or contact any. Experts concluded it might be electronic interference, though other explanations weren't ruled out. The case was analyzed by multiple military offices, but no conclusive results were found.
A few days later, another report recorded the observation of a bright object with a spark trail, seen for five seconds. Though initially thought to be a meteor, the data didn't fully match. Confusion grew when a commercial pilot nearly collided with a mysterious object, an incident briefly reported in the press before being removed. These events, though lacking physical evidence, sparked debates about the nature of the observed objects and the possibility of censorship.
