🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In October 1953, a musician at Bolling Air Force Base in Washington sighted a glowing white object in the sky. The witness, an amateur astronomer, described it as a sphere with an orange tail. The object appeared near Jupiter, rose about 20 degrees, made a loop, and returned along the same path. The observation lasted 50 seconds, with no sound or clear explanation. Although a meteor was considered, the final report labeled it as unidentified.
The report includes testimonies from multiple observers who all agreed on the description and that it was not a common phenomenon. Despite using a telescope, the object moved too fast to follow clearly. Weather conditions were ideal, with no clouds or interference. The officer in charge, though doubtful, found no more plausible explanation than an astronomical event. However, the unusual flight pattern and lack of sound remain a mystery.
