🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In October 1953, a witness in Union Lake, Michigan, reported seeing an object described as a blue-green haze with no material body. The object was observed for 66 seconds, circling the city six times before disappearing eastward at high speed. The witness, along with his wife—a licensed aircraft pilot—confirmed it was not a reflection. Despite detailed descriptions, authorities could not locate the witness for further information, leading to a conclusion of insufficient data. This case is one of many from the era that remain a mystery.
The object's description as a shapeless haze and its unusual behavior generated some curiosity. Although no photos were taken and there was no physical evidence, the testimony of someone with aviation experience added weight to the observation. However, the lack of additional data and the inability to verify the information with the primary witness complicated any deeper analysis. Like many other 1950s reports, this case remains unresolved, fueling speculation about what it might have been.
