Summary

In November 1953, three people reported a luminous object near Wood County Airport, Ohio. The witnesses, traveling along Alternate Route 50, observed an object slowly moving from east to west at an altitude of between 8,000 and 10,000 feet. Suddenly, the object turned about 30 degrees southward and rapidly accelerated, disappearing from view. Although they couldn't determine its shape or size due to its brightness and distance, all agreed it was not a conventional aircraft. The incident was reported to the local FBI, who informed them the U.S. Air Force was collecting information on "flying saucers."

The report was verbally coordinated with an Air Force official, but the information was deemed insufficient for further investigation. The case was closed without further action by the responsible office. Despite the clear description of the object's behavior, no physical evidence or conventional explanations were found.
