Luminous UFO over Indiana and Illinois

Summary

In 1953, a pilot from Begina Airlines reported observing an unidentified bright object over Ohio, near the borders of Indiana and Illinois. The object, initially white in color, was moving parallel to the eastern course of Illinois for about five minutes before disappearing. Later, it reappeared around 15:30, showing a bright white glow that turned green before vanishing. This report was shared with several air defense and intelligence units of the time, including the Air Defense Command and the Wright-Patterson Technical Intelligence Center. Although no conventional explanation was found for the phenomenon, the case remains an example of the many unresolved sightings from the 1950s.
