🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A white and mysterious object was observed over Catalina Island in 1953. According to the report, the witness, experienced in aviation, saw a round and bright object that initially appeared stationary before moving toward Los Angeles. Astronomers at Griffies Park Observatory considered it could be Jupiter, matching its position in the sky. Although the object showed no unusual maneuvers, its color and trajectory caused some confusion. The report concluded there was no physical or photographic evidence, but the possibility of an astronomical phenomenon was considered.
