🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In December 1953, a military base in North Truro, Massachusetts, recorded a sighting of an unidentified object. A pilot in a B-25 reported seeing an object the size of an aircraft, with erratic movements and speeds exceeding 700 mph. The object was observed at 10,000 feet, 10 miles north of the observer, and was detected by both ground and air radar. The weather was clear, making conventional explanations difficult.
The official conclusion was that it could have been an aircraft, but no specific information was provided to support this. A request for details on aircraft in the area was not fulfilled. This case was part of the Project Blue Book investigations, and while normal local air traffic was noted, the possibility of an unidentified object was not ruled out. The lack of concrete data left many questions unanswered.
