🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In December 1953, an Air Force Reserve officer observed an object in the sky over Belmar, New York. The witness described a luminous elliptical object with a pulsating orange color moving at high speed. Initially mistaken for a meteorite due to its speed, its unexpected trajectory left him puzzled. The object was heading west before abruptly turning north and disappearing within seconds.
The official investigation concluded there was insufficient data to determine the object's nature. Jupiter was ruled out as it was not in the correct position at the time. Although a meteor was considered, the sudden change in direction didn't fit typical patterns. The report lacked photos or physical evidence, further limiting conclusions. Despite the lack of answers, the observer's background as a navigator adds intrigue to this classic UFO case.
