🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In December 1953, a U.S. Air Force officer in Korea reported an unidentified flying object. The object was observed for five minutes, described as a flat, semi-transparent, orange diamond shape. The witness, an officer, altered his course to investigate, noting surprisingly agile maneuvers by the object. Initially thinking it was a sun reflection, he soon realized it was not a conventional aircraft.
The officer described the object accelerating suddenly to an estimated speed of 1300 mph, performing tight turns that exceeded the capabilities of aircraft at the time. After several attempts to close in, visual contact was lost as it approached the sun. The Air Force classified it as a balloon, but the testimony suggests a much more intriguing experience. This report was transmitted to several air intelligence units for analysis.
