🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A U.S. Air Force pilot reported an unidentified object over Wyoming in December 1953. The sighting lasted seven minutes, with the object changing color from red to white, as if heated or blinking. It was estimated to travel at speeds between 1500 and 2000 mph, without leaving a trail or visible exhaust. The report mentions that the object and another, four miles apart, disappeared—one heading north and the other straight up.
The lack of precise data and the ambiguity in the description led analysts to conclude that there was insufficient information for a clear evaluation. Although a conventional aircraft was ruled out, the possibility of an optical illusion or misinterpretation could not be dismissed. The report was shared with several air intelligence units, but no physical evidence or photographs supported the pilot's account.
