🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A bright object, described as similar to the full moon, was observed in Berlin in 1954. It moved in a straight line from the northwest to the southeast, without leaving a trail or making any sound. Witnesses noted that its speed was twice that of a jet fighter but slower than a meteor. The observation lasted between five and seven seconds, and the object disappeared behind buildings. Weather conditions were clear, with a new moon and light winds. Although several explanations were considered, such as balloons, aircraft, or astronomical phenomena, no definitive conclusion was reached. The lack of visual or auditory details complicated the identification.
Investigators from Project 10073 concluded it could have been a meteor, given its speed and trajectory. However, the nature of the phenomenon remains a mystery, added to the list of unresolved UFO reports from the era.
