Spherical UFO Sighted in Mississippi in 1954

In January 1954, two teenage observers in Picayune, Mississippi, spotted a silver cylindrical object with no sound or exhaust. The object appeared suddenly in the sky, maintained a smooth and straight flight for 1½ minutes, moving from west to east against the wind. Although initial weather and wind conditions suggested a balloon, investigators concluded it was an aircraft due to its steady flight and direction against the wind.
