🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In February 1954, a civilian observer in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, reported seeing six bright objects moving in formation. The witness, an electronics engineer, was tracking a cosmic research balloon when he noticed the objects. He first saw two, which were quickly joined by four others, forming a line behind the leader. The objects were perfectly aligned and moving at high speed. The observer took photographs with a 16 mm camera, though he didn't have time to properly adjust the settings. The objects suddenly disappeared, ascending vertically at great speed. The official report concluded there was insufficient data to identify the objects, and no Navy analysis or photos from the aircraft were received.
The detailed testimony of the observer suggests these were not reflections from the aircraft or the balloon. The sky was clear and the objects were white and highly visible. Although no physical evidence was found, the report mentions that a balloon camera photo captured the same objects, though Navy analysis was not received. This observation, though inconclusive, adds another intriguing case to the UFO files of the era.
