🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In February 1954, a Pan Am Airlines crew reported an unidentified object while flying over Florida. The aircraft, flying northeast from Key West, recorded the presence of an object at around 20,000 feet. Although no description of the object or exact duration of the sighting was given, weather data showed clear skies with unrestricted visibility.
Military and intelligence authorities received the report, but no definitive conclusions were reached. Explanations such as balloons, aircraft, or astronomical phenomena were ruled out due to lack of clear evidence. This case, like many others, was filed as insufficient for a conclusive evaluation. Despite that, it remains an interesting glimpse into how UFO sightings were documented in the 1950s.
