🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In March 1954, a witness in Orangeville, Maryland, reported three bright, round objects hovering silently in the sky. The observer, a retired high-ranking officer, described how the objects remained visible for 15 minutes without emitting sound or exhaust. The sighting was made from the ground using binoculars, with no photos or radar data recorded. Despite the witness's credibility, authorities concluded there was insufficient data to evaluate the phenomenon. The report was shared with multiple military units, but no definitive explanation was reached.
The description of the objects as "round," "bright," and silent generated confusion, as they did not match known objects of the time. Although it was suggested the lights could be a reflection from Baltimore city, this theory was not confirmed. The case was filed as insufficient for evaluation, but remains a fascinating example of how UFO sightings were documented in the 1950s.
