🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In March 1954, three military observers in Arlington, Virginia, reported seeing four luminous objects moving across the sky. At first glance, they appeared like stars, but with irregular movements and color changes. One of them disappeared below the horizon, suggesting it was a star setting in the west. An astronomer from the Naval Observatory confirmed the objects were stars, explaining that twinkling and color shifts can occur due to atmospheric conditions and naked-eye observation. Despite the observers not detecting sound or emissions, the report concluded there was insufficient evidence to classify them as unidentified flying objects.
