🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In March 1954, a U.S. pilot at Nouasseur Air Base in French Morocco spotted an unidentified object. The sighting occurred during a routine mission when the observer followed what he believed to be his formation leader. The object appeared somewhat like an aircraft, with an elongated shape and a bright white color. It moved in a straight and level flight path without performing any maneuvers and suddenly disappeared after about thirty seconds. Although the pilot noted characteristics similar to a conventional aircraft, the object could not be definitively identified due to insufficient data.
The air base reported the incident as part of a series of unidentified sightings in the area. In the seven days prior, other unidentified objects had been reported both visually and via radar. Despite the pilot being considered reliable, the weather conditions and the brevity of the sighting prevented a conclusive evaluation. The report was classified under strict security measures and was only declassified after fifteen years, offering a glimpse into a Cold War-era aerial mystery.
