🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A round, shiny object was spotted near Oak Park in 1954. Witnesses described it as a silver fireball moving rapidly northward. Although no exact altitude was recorded, it was estimated to be at a very high elevation before vanishing. Weather conditions were clear, with 7 miles of visibility and scattered clouds.
The report was submitted by an optometrist, and no attempt was made to intercept the object. The Williems Bay air base failed to detect it on radar. Despite the detailed description, it wasn't identified as a meteor or a conventional aircraft. This case remains an unsolved mystery in Air Force archives.
