🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In April 1954, a U.S. Navy officer observed two disc-shaped objects flying in formation near Norfolk, Virginia. The witness, piloting an aircraft at 3000 feet, initially thought they were birds due to their size and movement. However, as they approached, he noticed they were dark-colored objects with a clearly non-natural shape. The two objects maintained a constant distance from each other and moved at an astonishing speed, covering approximately 30 miles in just 25 to 30 seconds. Their trajectory was a 180-degree arc, suggesting controlled and precise movement. Although the official conclusion was that they were likely aircraft, the witness's detailed description and the recorded speed raised doubts about their true identity.
The report includes a chart showing the initial position of the objects, their path, and the point where they disappeared. The observer immediately reported the sighting to the airfield, but no further investigations were recorded. The cloudy weather and low visibility added mystery to the incident. Despite the official conclusion, the detailed testimony and unusual flight characteristics remain a point of interest for UFO researchers.
