🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A 1954 report describes the observation of a round object moving east to west at around 5,000 feet. A civilian witness observed it for 20 minutes on the night of April 11. The object moved against the wind, raising doubts about whether it could be an astronomical body. However, the lack of precise positional data prevented a conclusive evaluation. The Project 10073 database recorded the sighting, but no photos or physical evidence were collected.
The report was sent to several military units for analysis, including the Wright-Patterson Air Intelligence Center. Although various possibilities were considered, from an astronomical body to an unknown object, no definitive conclusion was reached. This case, like many from that era, reflects the uncertainty and lack of data that characterized early investigations into unidentified flying objects.
