🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In April 1954, a witness in Colorado Springs reported a red, round object moving at high speed across the sky. The sighting, documented under Project 10073, lasted only 10 seconds. Although the observer described it as an unusual aerial phenomenon, analysts concluded it was a meteor. The object’s straight and level trajectory, along with its color and speed, supported this explanation.
The report includes details such as the direction of movement (south to north) and an estimated elevation of 45 degrees. No photographs or physical evidence were collected, limiting further analysis. Despite the brief nature of the sighting, the report was shared with military and intelligence authorities. Ultimately, the possibility of an unidentified object was dismissed, with the event attributed to a shooting star.
