In April 1954, a flat, elongated object was observed over Charleston, South Carolina. Reliable witnesses, including military and civilian personnel, reported seeing a white light that turned greenish blue, with a trail of 20 to 30 feet. The object maintained a straight and level flight for about 6 to 8 seconds before disappearing.
