🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In April 1954, a military observer in Coral Gables, Florida, spotted a formation of three white, round objects reflecting light. The sighting occurred at dawn and lasted only three seconds. The witness, Roy W. Cox, a radio technician and commercial pilot, described how the objects rapidly ascended toward the southeast, maintaining a precise formation. Although a meteor was considered as a possibility, no disintegration or clear disappearance was reported. The lack of concrete data prevented a definitive evaluation.
The report, classified under Project 10073, was sent to several air bases and the USAF intelligence. Exact coordinates, weather conditions, and trajectory details were recorded. Despite the observer's reliability and the absence of air traffic that could explain the phenomenon, the objects remained unidentified. This case is another example of the numerous unexplained sightings that fueled curiosity about UFOs in the 1950s.
