🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In May 1954, a U.S. Air Force pilot reported an unidentified flying object over Cleveland, Ohio. The aircraft, an F-86 from the 71st Fighter Squadron, chased the object for several minutes but could not close the distance. The UFO appeared and disappeared repeatedly, always staying ahead of the plane along a 310-degree course. Despite efforts, there was no radar contact from either the aircraft or the ground.
The report notes that the object displayed an orange glow that alternated with a reddish hue. Visibility was excellent and the sky was clear. The UFO's altitude ranged between 15,000 and 19,000 feet. Ultimately, investigators concluded the object might have been Jupiter, although its behavior didn't fully align with planetary expectations. The report mentions no physical evidence and remains unresolved.
