🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In May 1954, a group of six people, including five children and one adult, observed an unidentified flying object near the Gulf Coast. The object, described as a large reddish-yellow light with two smaller lights, moved in a straight line from west to east. According to the report, the smaller lights separated from the main object and disappeared upon reaching the water. Although the children were frightened, the adult described the event calmly. No photos were taken, but a piece of glass was found as physical evidence.
The description of the object and its behavior raised questions about its nature. Some local officials ruled out the possibility of military training in the area, although it was not completely dismissed. The report, though incomplete and with errors, reflects the government's interest in investigating UFO sightings during the 1950s.
