🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In June 1954, a civilian in Muskogee, Oklahoma reported a silent object measuring between 70 and 80 feet in diameter. The sighting lasted only two seconds, and the object was seen moving south. Although several explanations were considered, such as balloons, aircraft, or astronomical phenomena, investigators concluded the photo was fake. The image shows a round object with what appears to be windows, suggesting deliberate manipulation. The case did not provide enough data for a conclusive evaluation.
The document, dated 1954, is part of Project 10073 records and was reviewed again in 1967. The lack of noise and the brief nature of the sighting raised doubts, and the classification as "fake" suggests it was likely a prank or a hoax. Despite the apparent simplicity of the case, such records help understand how sightings were handled at the time, using a combination of observation and photographic analysis.
