Summary

In June 1954, a witness in Three Oaks, Michigan, observed a bright object compared to the planet Saturn. The object had no running lights and was estimated to be moving northeast at 500 mph. The sighting lasted 3½ minutes, but no photographs or radar were used. Although an aircraft was considered, the data was insufficient for a firm analysis. The official report labeled it as "insufficient for evaluation".

The case was reported by a registered civil engineer who contacted the project from La Porte, Indiana. The testimony was recorded on a Project 10073 card, a government effort to investigate unidentified sightings. Despite the detailed description, the lack of additional evidence kept the mystery around the object. The report reflects the difficulty of distinguishing between natural phenomena and unidentified aerial objects with only visual observations.
