Summary

In June 1954, a witness in Manassas, Virginia, observed a round and yellow object that suddenly appeared in the sky. The object remained stationary for a moment before accelerating rapidly eastward, changing brightness and flashing three times over six minutes. At the same time, a commercial airliner was passing overhead, leading investigators to consider the possibility of an aircraft. However, the object's unusual behavior and sudden disappearance raised doubts. The witness notified local police, but upon returning, the object was gone.

The object's description and unexpected movement, along with its coincidence with an air traffic pattern, led to an ambiguous evaluation.
