🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In June 1954, a witness in Memphis, Tennessee, observed an oval-shaped object with an orange glow moving northward. The event lasted between 15 and 20 minutes, and although a balloon or blimp was considered, no definitive conclusion was reached. The report notes that a Navy blimp was reported in the area, but it was not directly linked to the sighting. The object's description, its behavior, and the absence of visible lights created some confusion among investigators.
The official report, classified under Project 10073, was handled by the Maxwell AFB Flight Service Center in Alabama. Despite investigations, no clear explanation was found. The sighting was categorized as likely aerial but unconfirmed. The report includes weather data and sighting details, though it lacks images or additional testimonies. This case is another example of the many UFO reports that remain unsolved in military archives.
