🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A civilian observer in Los Angeles reported seeing an oval-shaped object with a diameter of 20 feet and a thickness of 2 feet on June 21, 1954. Seen through 18-power binoculars, the object moved from west to east and disappeared toward the north at an estimated altitude of 400 feet. The sighting occurred around 1700 local time, and no photographs were taken.
Investigators concluded that there was insufficient data to properly evaluate the event. Although possibilities such as balloons, aircraft, or astronomical phenomena were considered, none were confirmed. This case is part of the Project 10073 records, which collected unexplained sightings during the 1950s.
