🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A man in Clayton, Alabama, observed a bright cigar-shaped object moving from the southeast to the northwest. The witness, Edward C. Ventress, described that the object did not change in brightness and had no tail or exhaust trail. Although initially thought to be a meteor, he noticed it made a sharp turn before disappearing. The report classifies it as possibly a meteor, though the witness insisted it did not resemble any known aircraft.
The case was investigated by OSI agents and linked to another sighting in Savannah, Georgia, on the same day. Ventress, a local merchant and former Rotary Club president, appeared reliable and detailed. The report includes weather and wind data but no photographic or radar evidence. Despite the detailed description, the object was not conclusively identified.
