Unidentified UFO over Miami Beach in 1954

Summary

In June 1954, a U.S. Marine Corps officer in Miami Beach observed an unusual aerial phenomenon. The object appeared as a bright falling star that rapidly descended, increasing in intensity and speed. It then slowed, stabilized, and gradually faded from view. The witness, alarmed, called a colleague to witness the event, but neither could identify the object. The observation lasted approximately seven minutes, suggesting a prolonged presence in the sky. Official reports concluded it was not a balloon, aircraft, or known astronomical event.

The case was reported to the Sixth Naval District and sent to the Air Force, but no explanation was found. Although no photos were taken, the testimonies align in describing the phenomenon. To this day, this event remains unidentified, adding to the list of mysterious UFO sightings in history.
