🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In July 1954, a bright object was observed over Stockton, California. A civilian witness and a military officer saw it move at an astonishing speed, surpassing F-86 fighters in the area. The object, which left a faint heat trail, disappeared behind the mountains. Although considered a meteor, its speed and unusual behavior raised questions.
The official investigation concluded it was a meteor, but the data was not conclusive. Officer Donald Clelland, responsible for the report, highlighted the reliability of one of the sources. Despite the classification, the document did not provide definitive explanations, leaving room for alternative interpretations.
