In July 1954, a radar observer aboard a B-36 reported a clear circular formation of seven stationary objects on the radar screen. Photos taken confirmed the presence of the objects, which remained clustered for 19 minutes. Although initially considered an anomaly or suspicious naval activity, further investigation revealed they were a real U.S. Navy formation.
