🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In July 1954, a woman in Concord Center, Massachusetts, observed whitish, circular or oval-shaped lights moving rapidly across the sky. The lights moved erratically, stopping and reversing direction. At one point, she saw one light above another, and another behind. No sound was heard, and the lights remained visible for about 20 minutes. The sighting caused confusion, but it was linked to a rotating searchlight in the area.
Hanscom Airfield confirmed that a searchlight was operating toward Waltham, reflecting off the clouds. Although the woman was unsure at first, officials concluded that what she saw was due to that light. However, the description of the lights and their random movement generated some uncertainty, typical of many sightings from that era.
