🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A round, bright, multicolored object was observed for almost two hours in Wisconsin in 1954. The witness described it as resembling a parachute with attached strings, swaying back and forth. The sighting occurred during sunset, with the moon rising in the east, adding a magical touch to the phenomenon. Initially thought to be a balloon, the unusual colors—gold, red, and green—along with the object's movement, caused some confusion.
A nearby military base confirmed the sighting after being notified by a civilian. Despite the prolonged observation and the use of binoculars, no photos or additional data were taken. Ultimately, the report concluded the object might have been a loose parachute from a jet aircraft, although its persistent brightness during sunset remains unexplained.
