🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In July 1954, a witness in Bath, Michigan, observed between 8 and 10 aerial objects in a "V" formation moving backward. The objects were elongated, wider in the center and thinner at the ends, with the center appearing darker than the outside. The sighting lasted 6 seconds and remained in a straight line, without emitting bright light. The formation traveled a 45-degree arc in that short time, suggesting considerable speed. Although several explanations were considered, such as balloons, aircraft, or astronomical phenomena, no definitive conclusion was reached. This case remains one of the unresolved mysteries in the history of UFO sightings in the United States.
