🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In August 1954, a policeman in Homerville, Georgia, observed a mysterious object during the night. The object was round, small, with blue sparks, and moving northeast while bobbing up and down. It remained visible for 10 minutes at a 45-degree elevation. Although no photos were taken, the report concluded it was likely a balloon. Wind conditions at various altitudes suggested the object could have been high in the sky, supporting the balloon theory.
The case was recorded under Project 10073 and sent to several air intelligence units. Despite the lack of photographic evidence, the detailed witness account and weather conditions helped investigators assess the nature of the phenomenon. Although not definitively identified, the object did not appear to be an aircraft or an astronomical event.
