🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In September 1954, an observer at Kimpo Air Base in Korea reported a mysterious object during dawn. The object, described as bright like sunlight reflecting off polished aluminum, remained stationary for several minutes before disappearing behind clouds. Although initially considered a weather balloon, wind data and the object's direction ruled this out. Witnesses, including control tower and weather personnel, agreed it was neither a star nor a conventional aircraft.
The official investigation concluded the object could not be identified with certainty. Meteorological data showed strong winds at high altitudes, making a balloon unlikely. Additionally, the object showed no features of an aircraft, such as tail or lights. While a high-flying aircraft illuminated by the sun was considered, there was no confirmation of this theory. The official report classifies it as "unidentified," leaving room for more unusual explanations.
