Summary

A pilot reported a bright object initially resembling a stationary star, but soon showed movement toward the west-southwest. As it approached, the object revealed a series of aligned lights, similar to an aircraft's lights, though with distinct shapes. It was observed at an estimated altitude of 6,000 to 8,000 feet, with lights brighter than an aircraft's cabin lights. No wings, tail lights, or exhaust flames were visible. The object disappeared rapidly to the west, at a speed comparable to a fast commercial aircraft.

The report concluded it could be an aircraft, though no clear features were identified. The observer, from an aircraft in flight, heard no sound. The observation lasted approximately two minutes as a star and 20 seconds as a visible shape. Other aircraft also reported simultaneous sightings, suggesting the object was visible for a brief period under favorable weather conditions. No physical evidence or photographs were found.
