🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In September 1954, a witness in Philadelphia observed a circular object with a yellow-orange color in the sky. The report notes that the object remained visible for over an hour and was initially reported as an unusual phenomenon. The account mentions that some witnesses saw three objects in a line formation, while others only noticed one. The observation took place at a 45-degree elevation towards the northeast.
Confusion grew when air defense aircraft were scrambled to identify the object. Eventually, the pilots classified it as a star, a conclusion confirmed by local police after receiving multiple calls from citizens. Despite the official resolution, the report does not provide a clear explanation for the sighting, leaving open the possibility that the object was not a star, but something more unusual.
