🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In September 1954, a farmer in Houston, Texas, spotted two objects in the sky. The first was seen for only a few seconds, traveling at an extremely high speed of between 1500 and 2000 miles per hour. This object disappeared quickly and was not seen by another witness. The second object, observed for 6 or 7 minutes, displayed unusual movements such as ascents, descents, and lateral shifts, but remained in the same area at low altitude. It was described as an intense light that varied between white and red, with flickering dark flashes. Due to the distance and speed of the first object, no clear evaluation was possible, while the second was considered likely a helicopter.
The description of the first object suggested it could have been a reflection, a meteor, or even a low-flying jet, as the witness was driving and the motor noise might have masked any sound. The second object, although unusual in its movement, was attributed to a helicopter heading to a nearby airport. Despite the duration of the sighting, no photos or physical evidence were obtained, limiting the possibility of a deeper analysis. The report concluded that there was insufficient data to determine the exact nature of the objects.
