🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In the Mojave Desert, California, a hunter and his friend found strange silvery metallic objects that could be crumpled in the hand. These objects, about 1/2 inch long and 1/16 inch wide, covered a large area far from populated zones. Although they resembled a new type of radar chaff, they didn't cause effects like those reported in other cases, such as the Ohio incident where objects turned hands green. The report concluded the items were chaff, but no samples were sent for analysis.
The hunter contacted the 807th Observations Squadron to share his experience, recalling a similar description. Although no photos were taken and no physical samples were collected, the testimony is valuable for understanding how such materials were handled in remote areas. The case shows how unidentified objects can have technical explanations, yet still generate curiosity and questions.
