🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In October 1954, Houston witnessed several sightings of unidentified flying objects. A pilot and a radar instructor reported seeing lights that changed color and formation, appearing and disappearing without a clear pattern. The lights were observed for 45 minutes and were always below the aircraft, to its right. Although initially thought to be oil well flares, there was no definitive confirmation. The lack of physical or radar evidence concluded that it was likely a ground light refraction or an astronomical phenomenon.
