🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In October 1954, a witness in Alexandria, Virginia observed a bright white object flying silently without leaving a trail. The object was seen for 20 seconds, maneuvering through nearly 350 degrees. Although aircraft were reported in the area, no speed or altitude could be estimated. The witness, who had maritime navigation experience, confirmed clear weather conditions and stated the object vanished in a straight line. Due to insufficient data, the official conclusion was that the event could not be evaluated.
The report, part of Project 10073, describes a small, round object with an intense white glow. No photographs or physical evidence were collected. The testimony was sent by mail, including the exact time of the sighting and precise location. Despite the detailed description, no technical data on maneuverability or other parameters were included. Like many cases from that era, this one was archived without a clear explanation, leaving open the possibility of an unexplained phenomenon.
