🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A military officer observed a grayish, half-moon-shaped object moving silently at low altitude. The sighting lasted only five seconds, limiting the ability to identify it. Although the initial report suggested it might be a bird, the object's description and speed (around 200 mph) caused some confusion. The witness, an experienced officer, sketched the object and contacted astronomers and control towers to rule out other explanations. There were no photos or physical evidence, and the short duration of the sighting complicated the analysis. Ultimately, the case was classified as "other" without a definitive conclusion.
