🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
An American diplomat vacationing in Kyrenia, Cyprus, reported spotting an unidentified flying object on October 20, 1954. The object had a thick cigar-like shape and a bright metallic silver color. It made no sound and left no trail, making it hard to explain. The observation was later recorded in a report dated December 7, 1954. Although no photos were taken and no physical evidence was found, analysts considered it possibly a British aircraft. The detailed description of the object suggests a clear and attentive observation by the witness.
The report, classified under Project 10073, was submitted by an official from the U.S. embassy in Damascus, Syria. Although the exact duration of the observation was not recorded, the fact that it was reported by a civilian with diplomatic access gives it some credibility. The absence of noise and trail in the object makes it distinct from conventional aircraft of the time. Despite the tentative conclusion that it could be a British aircraft, the physical description of the UFO remains intriguing and does not easily fit any known model from that era.
