🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In October 1954, a civilian in Karachi, Pakistan, observed a fireball in the sky. The phenomenon was reported in a local newspaper and later reviewed by military authorities. Although no photos were taken and no physical evidence was found, the report concluded it was a meteor. The testimony was brief and did not include the exact duration of the observation. However, the description of a fireball helped investigators identify it as a common astronomical event.
The case description is part of a project to record unidentified aerial sightings. Despite the lack of precise data, such as direction or exact time, the analysis of the report allowed investigators to rule out more complex explanations. This type of record, although seemingly simple, is valuable for understanding how aerial phenomena were classified in the 1950s. In this case, what seemed like a mysterious object turned out to be a natural event.
