🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A ground observer in St Louis, Missouri, reported a mysterious object on November 3, 1954. While watching a formation of B-47 bombers, one of them reflected sunlight, drawing his attention. At that moment, he noticed a small, round, flat object, the size of a nickel, made of unpolished aluminum. The object appeared behind the last plane, rolled northward, and vanished within seconds. Although the report states there is insufficient data for evaluation, investigators consider the possibility that it was an object dropped from the aircraft or an optical reflection.
The object's description and behavior suggest something unusual, but there is no physical evidence or photographs to support the testimony. The observer, a railroad clerk from Illinois, is not considered a particularly reliable source. The weather conditions were cold and clear, with multiple wind layers and clouds, further complicating the interpretation of the event. Despite the brief sighting, the case remains intriguing due to its proximity to a military formation and the detailed description of the object.
