In November 1954, a cigar-shaped object was sighted near Baltimore, Maryland. Witnesses described a bright, silvery object with no discernible sound, moving at a constant speed. The observation lasted about 90 seconds before the object disappeared behind smog. Although initially considered a balloon, the detailed sighting suggests a more mysterious nature.
The official evaluation concluded it might have been a balloon, but the detailed description of the object and its unconventional behavior generated some controversy. The report includes testimonies from two people, including a university professor, adding credibility to the case. Despite the lack of physical evidence, the sighting remains a mystery for many researchers.
